You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably a PE with a mechanical engineering degree. In addition, you must have a working knowledge of applicable codes (ANSI, API, ASME, NACE and relevant ABS and DNV standards, etc.). Excellent people skills and the ability to work as part of a team are critical.

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer, with 3 years experience in piping design related work in the upstream oil and gas industry, to work in their Houston office. This company is a manufacturer of the industry standard in flow products, production manifold systems, and pumps.

As the Project Engineer, you will work with a $2 million engineering budget. You will be responsible for managing the engineering process within project budgets, and assisting in defining cost reduction opportunities. Although you will not have any direct supervisory responsibilities, you will be responsible for directing drafting resources, outside engineering consultants, and design engineers, while completing engineering activities regarding assigned projects. Additional responsibilities include: reviewing technical information from vendors to ensure project specification compliance; supplying all engineering deliverables regarding SDRL (supplier document register list) for each project; and working with the sales and technical applications staff to develop product strategies for specific projects.

Overseas travel to support sales and project execution will be required, so you must have a valid passport.

Limited flextime is available. Required travel up to 50%.
